Facilitation and Training
Regular management workshops as well as leadership and employee training are important elements of a productive organizational culture. We plan and implement strategic planning and goal setting sessions for councils and boards and facilitate similar sessions for management teams of entire governments as well as individual departments. Our customer service training workshops are designed specifically for local government employees and offer skills and strategies for working with customers, both internal and external to the organization. Our varied list of training and facilitation experience includes:
-
- Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) workshops
- Conflict-management workshops
- Customer service training
- Development of customer standards
- Employee feedback training
- Executive coaching
- Performance measurement training
- Process improvement training
Our successes with this service include the projects highlighted below.
The Woodlands, TX
Management Partners assisted The Woodlands with several projects involving customer service. During the first project, we worked with a broad cross-section of staff to develop customer service standards for the organization, factoring in feedback from the entire staff. Once management approved the new standards, we designed and provided customer service training throughout the organization. Training included both a basic introductory course that reviewed the organizational standards for customer service, as well as an advanced course focusing on methods used to interact with challenging customers.
International City/County Management Association (ICMA) University
Management Partners' consultants have designed and presented several different workshops for the ICMA University during the past eight years. Workshop titles have included: Measuring Up: Using Measures to Improve Your Organization's Performance; Rebuilding the Building Process: Improving Timeliness and Customer Service; and Leadership: An Art of Possibility.
Shoreline, WA
Management Partners assisted the City of Shoreline with several projects involving team building, supervisory training (including providing feedback to staff), and facilitation of Myers-Briggs indicator. We have also provided facilitation for staff retreats and Council goal setting sessions.
“You and your team did a great job of helping get us focused. For that we are very appreciative… I am glad to have had the opportunity to get to know and work with you.” Joseph Kelly, Senior Advisor for Management, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, KY |
