Interim Management
A temporary leadership vacancy provides an opportunity to have Management Partners fill the void with an interim manager. If you want more than maintenance management when a senior executive leaves your organization, an interim manager from Management Partners can bring expertise and stability, thereby greatly reducing stress associated with the position’s vacancy. We provide an experienced executive who can step in, make decisions, improve operations and even accomplish specific projects. Our seasoned professionals can add value while a permanent employee is found and can assist in the transition to new leadership. We believe that an interim manager should leave the organization in a better state than when he or she arrived.
Our successes with this service include the projects highlighted below.
Canyon Lake Property Owners Association, CA
Management Partners’ Jovan Grogan is currently serving as the general manager for the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (POA) in Southern California. During his assignment with the POA, Jovan has helped bring about several important improvements, including competitively bidding and awarding contracts for several services, initiating an executive recruitment, training committee chairpersons, installing a new point-of-sale system, and reviewing reserve fund disbursements.
Port of Sacramento, CA
Andrew Belknap, Regional Vice President at Management Partners, served as the chief executive manager for the Port of Sacramento for approximately 18 months. When he arrived in his position, the Port was struggling financially and exploring the option of bankruptcy. Andy was instrumental in brokering governance changes involving the cities of West Sacramento and Sacramento and the counties of Sacramento and Yolo to allow the Port to develop a new business plan and create a financially stable environment. In addition, Andy was able to broker a shared service arrangement with the Port of Oakland as a management partner. This partnership was subsequently broadened to include the Port of Stockton. To date, the new governance and financially stable situation has enabled the Port to attract several new economic development partners and projects. The deal required Andy to work across political lines with government staff, lawyers and local politicians.
Alameda County, CA
Management Partners’ Mary Welch currently serves as the human resources director for Alameda County. Mary spent her career in public service and has managed the full range of human resources services, as well as many other county functions, and brings her expertise to her current assignment.
"We have found your staff to be responsive to all of our requests and needs. Your final report and its recommendations provided valuable assistance during our recent budget process. I would encourage other Police Chiefs or agency leaders to utilize your services if they are facing budget cuts or considering restructuring within their organization. Your staff's background in city management and law enforcement provided a degree of credibility that is often not found within outside audit reports." - Captain Belinda Brewer, City of Anaheim, CA |
