Jim Reese has worked in local government for over 35 years. He began his career on the east coast working in the Carolinas and Atlanta, Georgia. Much of his experience from that time was in economic development and he assumed increasingly responsible management positions over time.
In California, Jim worked in the City of Newark for 17 years, first as Community development director, then as community development and finance director. When he retired from Newark in 2006, he was serving as assistant city manager. Since that time he has continued to work in local government, first as a member of the City of Orinda Finance Advisory Committee and more recently in a series of interim positions.Back
